Kim Chi Restaurant

there's this place i go to with my college friends every time we meet. its called Kim Chi or Somang and it is right beside Chowking Bajada, right across Victoria Plaza. the prices are a bit higher than we would normally spend but it satisfies our Korean cravings every time.

When you first arrive they give you six appetizers per table (each table sits four so if you come in a group of six, you get two tables and twelve appetizers) they gave us some (from the top left) sweet potato fritters, spring onions with chili sauce, kim chi, pickled water spinach and raddish, cucumber salad, and leek and ham omelet
We always order their bulgogi. We prefer their beef bulgogi, which is a sweet dish of soy sauce, beef tenderloin, sesame seeds, sesame oila nd brown sugar . however, it is always 'out of stock', so we ordered pork bulgogi instead. it is a totally different dish. it is spicy and has a lot of veggies. it is equally good though.
We also enjoy kim bap. it is like a maki roll but it has more fillings. theyhave sesame seeds, scrambled eggs, cucumber, kani, carrots, raddish, ham, and i forgot the other ingredient.haha
japche is another fave. I think it is made out of cassava noodles. it is kind of like a glutinous version of sotanghon (or Asian vermicelli) and has a sweet sauce. it comes with some meat, a lot of veggies, mushrooms, and egg. it is really super good
pajeun is another fave for people who do not like spicy food. it is basically a sdavory pancake made from cassava starch and has squid and other veggie sisnide. it has a soy dipping sauce.
