Chowking's Orange Chicken

I am a sucker for orange chicken and lemon chicken, so when i heard that chowking actually offered orange chicken, i was delighted. i mean, now i could get my orange chicken fix from a fastfood...and without a lot of money.
Let us start with the negative and get that out of the way. First, where are the oranges? i was expecting at least ONE wedge of real orange there, since the poster showed the dish with SO MANY orange wedges...but well, there were none. Second,. where is the orange taste? welll, it is there, but it was very VERY hard to taste. The sauce tasted like vinegar+sugar+pepper+salt...not very orange-y if you ask me.

But i understand why chowking would do this. i am sure not many filipinos would be willing to eat a piece of chicken that tasted a lot like chicken. im sure this dish would sell less if it tasted more orangey. and sinc ethis is a fast food chain, and caters to the masses, i can not complain
the positive: it was actually quite a generous serving of super soft, extra crunchy (even if it was dunked in sauce), bone less chicken fillets. the chicken was so good in fact, that it actually tasted like it could have come from KFC. the dish tasted quite good...just make sure not to expect anything that actually tasted orangey...which is hard to do, considering the dish is called orange chicken.
to cap my meal off i ordered some mango sago (tapioca balls). It was sweet (but not too sweet), cold, and the fresh mango pieces were delightful. if you have to choose one thing from the chowking menu, i would suggest you go for the mango sago rather than the orange chicken
